About Us
The Lakewood Area Chamber of Commerce began in 1993 to support the businesses in the local area. We are a member local government organization.
What is the Lakewood Area Chamber of Commerce?
The LACOC is a non-profit (501 (C) 6) organization comprised of a board made up of volunteers from local businesses. The Lakewood AREA is defined as the same area covered by the Lakewood School District. This includes Clarksville, Lake Odessa, Sunfield, Woodland and sections of Freeport.
What does the LACOC do?
We handle over 2,000 calls each year for travel and community event information! We provide answers to questions, send brochures as needed or guide them to visit our web site. The LACOC promotes businesses and the community by sponsoring events and creating promotional materials, which bring people into the community, who then frequent area retailers and eating establishments.
